I’ll be performing in a big band directed by Manuel Kaufmann. We’ll be paying tribute to the composer, arranger, educator and extraordinary person who was Bob Freedman. A writer and performer who has worked with a virtual who’s who in the music industry from Duke Ellington, Lena Horne, Wynton Marsalis, Ron Carter, Arthur Blythe, music for film and theatre (the Wiz to name one!) and so many others. Bob left us in December of 2018 and is dearly missed. His music touched us all so deeply.
