LATEST NEWS

It’s been a great year of music making, writing, and teaching so far and I’ve got more good things coming. From concerts with Felipe Salles’ Interconnections Ensemble to bringing my New World Jazz Composers Octet to the Regattabar on March 30th and my Coldplay project to the Mosesian Center for the Arts in April, lots of good things underway. I hope to see you all soon.

I had the greatest time playing with Matt Richard at the Marion Center for Arts MAC Gallery on March 1st. We played original music of mine as well as a piece from my dear friend Billy Childs that’s featured on his new Grammy winning record as well as some other classic standards. We sold out two sets and I’m really looking forward to more music making in the not too distant future with Matt. I’ve attached two photos below from that great evening.

The great tangible, intangible. It’s how our deepest emotions resonate in the universe. It expresses love, joy, pain, sorrow and passion without visual or tactile reference. It’s the hardest job we could ever sign on for and provides the greatest reward with endless search and study. There is always something to practice…
